Color Picker Tool for Choosing Colors in Designs
If you’re creating banners or other designs and your colors are clashing too much, this free tool might just come in handy. It’s a free extension that can be easily added to your browser to find the hex color code of practically any color you see online. Once you gather the hex color code, you can use it in your designs (or as a shade lighter or darker).
This can come in handy on your own website if you’re trying to place two banners next to each other and they just aren’t looking very eye appealing. You can use the eye dropper tool to choose one of the least used colors in the main banner and use it more prominently in your other banner. Or you can choose one of the colors and then use that code to easily select a shade or two darker or lighter, which can then be used in your other banner.
Recently, I used this tool for figuring out the colors that another website was using to promote their expo. One of my clients was going to have a booth at that expo and wanted a banner on their website announcing it. I used the color picker tool to figure out some of the colors that the expo website used in order to help promote it on my client’s banner.
If you’re creating designs and graphics, the EyeDropper Extension is a useful tool that can really come in handy. You never know when you might want to match colors from an online image or website graphic. Or perhaps you’ll use it when creating your own color palette for your business. Speaking of color palettes, Coolors.co is another great tool that generates super fast color palettes so you can visually see what looks great next to each other.
