Dealing with Entrepreneur Motivation Issues

You may consider yourself a self-motivated individual but when you find yourself with no boss, no employees and no office other than the one you consider your home, it can become extremely hard to stay motivated. Plus there’s the overwhelmed feeling of not knowing where to even start. You may have too many ideas and your list of to-dos is so great you aren’t able to focus.
Entrepreneur Accountability Program
The absolute best thing you can do is to join our accountability program. Frankly, you need someone who can be brutally honest with you. Friends and family are extremely important when it comes to supporting your ideas, but sometimes having an outsider who is an expert in growing small businesses can be one of the most beneficial things you could do for your business. Something as simple as a weekly 30 minute one-on-one phone call to go over your goals, your current challenges, and tasks for the week, can be extremely empowering.
Other Ways to Deal with Entrepreneur Motivation Issues
If this is not something that you can afford at this time, then I’d recommend making a list of goals. This could be daily, weekly or monthly. List these somewhere prominent like on a large whiteboard where you and everyone in your household can easily see. Next to the larger goals, write down a small reward for yourself. This could be as simple as a dinner to your favorite restaurant or a back massage from your significant other. Make sure that whenever you complete any of your tasks or goals that you cross it off so you can physically see that you’re making progress.
If you have a friend who is also starting his or her own business, perhaps a weekly lunch meetup might be a good idea to discuss weekly goals and go over the status of the previous week’s goals.
Just remember to hang in there. Even though sometimes it may not look like you’re making much progress, you probably are. Keep moving forward, but don’t be afraid to ask for help.
